The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club: Part of The GIFT Exchange
Next: Sunday 2 May 10-11:30am

Rise and shine it’s Breakfast Club time! A relaxed monthly meet up for artists, cultural freelancers and arts workers.

Join us on Sunday 2 May from 10am for an extra special edition of The Breakfast Club as part of GIFT festival’s The GIFT Exchange (30 Apr – 2 May). Hosted by members of The Six Twenty and Team GIFT, this edition will be a chance for North East artists to get together over a spot of Brekkie to chat about The GIFT Exchange and anything else you’d like to natter about.

Like the real world meet up, you can drop in at anytime (until 11:30am) and stay for as little or as long as you like. You can even stay in your PJs!

A little bit of backstory:

The Breakfast Club is for cultural workers from across the North East and beyond. It’s for anyone from the arts, cultural or heritage sector who wants a break from the ‘normal’ working routine.

Make yourself some Brekkie and start the day with some inspiring chats with fellow artists and meet some of the other people out there, often struggling with similar challenges.

We’re a welcoming and friendly group, so don’t be shy. There’s usually a few new people and a few regulars at each meet up. Share your passions, your frustrations and get inspired over some toast and coffee.

Due to recent events we can’t get together in person, so instead we’re taking The Breakfast Club online.

The Breakfast Club is normally on 26th of each month and takes place at a different local independent cafe or venue in Newcastle or Gateshead. However, due to Covid-19, we’re currently meeting up online, providing a digital space for artists to come together and catch up over some Brekkie.
