The Six Twenty are looking for three energetic professional theatre makers / musicians to join the cast of their forthcoming production FANS directed by Melanie Rashbrooke.
FANS is currently under development as part of this year’s Bridging the Gap initiative designed to aid the creation of new theatre within the North East region. It’s theatre meets gig. An eclectic and hilarious mix of stories told through raucous live music and verbatim theatre interwoven with scripted drama written by Nina Berry.
Based on people’s love affair with music FANS will fuse together true stories (and some not so true stories) with real music fan confessions. It’s a show full of emotion, humour, energy and musical pulse.
If you are aged 20-35, have performance experience and are a singer and / or play a musical instrument then we’d love to see you for an open workshop audition. You will be asked to participate in a physical, vocal and musical workshop.
IMPORTANT: All applicants must be free for the rehearsal period, production and touring dates (7 August – 16 September 2016). All participants must be able to work in the UK.
There are two workshop dates available. Workshop auditions will take place on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May from 12pm – 5pm at Live Theatre. Workshops will be limited to 20 per session.
Recalls will happen at a later date to be confirmed.
We welcome participants from all backgrounds and ethnicities.
